About Dr. Cione

Dr. Dean Cione is a highly skilled general surgeon in Plano, Texas. He is recognized by Intuitive Surgical, maker of the da Vinci ® robot, as a national epicenter surgeon.

Dr. Cione earned his Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Baylor University. He attended U.T. Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he graduated with the Hudson-Penn award as outstanding student in general surgery. He completed his general surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He is board certified in general surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Cione diligently works with each patient to make sure they understand their condition and treatment plan. Under his care, patients can expect to feel prepared, informed, and comforted by Cione’s personal approach.
